My blog is slowly becoming a traveling blog, and honestly, I’m not even mad about it. I LOVE to travel with Andrew & I’m really loving these quick little surf trips even though it is BEYOND stressful watching him sit in the water waiting on a wave - hello shark bait.

Our latest trip was to Jax Beach, FL. This was so much fun because we got to see Andrew’s cousins that we hadn’t seen in over 2 years! Andrew got to surf with his cousin, Christopher, and I got to hangout with his 3 sweet girls!

Where To Stay

We stayed at the brand new Margaritaville Beach Hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. The pops of colors, decorations and view were all perfect. They also have a Landshark Bar and Grill in the hotel. The coffee shop was SO cute. I enjoyed my iced caramel macchiato with oat milk in the lobby that is perfectly decorated. The sunrise was breathtaking! It’s been sooooo long since I’ve seen the sun rise over the ocean - we’re always seeing it set over the ocean in PCB so it was a nice change. Andrew and I can’t wait to come back to Jax and stay here again.

What To Eat

We kept our meals real simple in these 24 hours since Andrew was surfing a majority of the time. For dinner we ate at the Landshark Bar and Grill that was in our hotel. This was much easier than fighting the traffic to go eat somewhere else. I had the classic marg on the rocks - it’s 5 o’clock somewhere right? With the mahi mahi tacos. I like to add shredded cheese to mine and they were delicious. Andrew had the fried mahi mahi and he wishes he had gotten the tacos!

We had breakfast at the hotel as well from the little coffee shop. We both got a coffee and shared a croissant.

For lunch we had a good ole Pub sub. Publix subs are always our go-to on the beach with some fruit!

What To Do

Well this one is easy to answer. For Andrew - surf, surf, surf and surf some more. For me - I’m enjoying sitting in the sun and taking Andrew’s pictures. I’m his biggest fan but dang does surfing make me so uneasy! The thought of something happening to him out the water terrifies me but he absolutely LOVES surfing!

You also have to checkout the Sunrise Surf Shop. Andrew got a new wetsuit from there and I got the cute shorts (I'm wearing them below). It's so difficult for me to find shorts that fit me and these O'Neill ones fit PERFECT. I wish I could've bought all the clothes and shoes they had in there.

I’m really hoping these little surf trips are something we get to continue doing for a long time! I have so much spending time with Andrew and watching him do something that he loves so much.

Where are some places we should take weekend trips too? Or even just 24 hours trips?

xoxo
